Music Celebration Information

The Crestview Singers will be participating in St. James-Assiniboia School Division’s Music Celebration. This is a non-competitive choral experience that will help prepare our singers for the Winnipeg Music Festival in March.

The Crestview Singers are performing on Monday, February 6, 2017.  Please arrive at Sturgeon Creek United Church (207 Thompson Drive) at 5:30pm in black pants, black shoes and a short-sleeved t-shirt. Coats are to be hung up in the coat racks and we will meet in the Rainbow Room for warm ups. The red choir shirts will be handed out at this time. We will sing our two selections on stage at 6:10 and an adjudicator will work with the choir immediately following the performance. It is intended that the adjudicator will give detailed feedback to move us to the next level in their choral literacy. Please meet your child in the foyer after their adjudication has been completed (6:30pm).

Family and friends are most welcome and encouraged to attend this event. Admission is free! Students are invited to sit with their parents and listen to other choirs perform after their performance.

Choir Songs

The Crestview Singers will be performing at two events this winter. At the beginning of February, they are performing at the St. James-Assiniboia Music Celebration in preparation for the Winnipeg Music Festival. This is an evening event Monday, February 6 at 6:10 pm. At the beginning of March, the choir also sings the perfected songs at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  This is a day time event and will be bussed to and from the venue by school bus.  More information will be posted on this blog and sent home at a later date.
