Dear Parents/Guardians:
Crestview Singers will be performing at the
Family of Schools Concert on Monday, May
1 at 7:00pm at John Taylor Collegiate. We will be performing two pieces
along with a mass piece with other schools.
This is a great opportunity for the students and families to see what is
happening musically in our family of schools. In preparation for this concert,
it is important that choir members be at all
lunch recess rehearsals.
AFTERNOON
DRESS REHEARSAL:
On Monday, May 1 at 1:15 PM, the choir will
be walking to John Taylor for a dress rehearsal. Please sign and return the
permission form and return by Tuesday, April 25. It is important that the
students come dressed for the weather. We walk rain or shine. If there are any volunteers
who can help supervise the walk in the afternoon to the rehearsal and/or the
concert, please email me at agoertzen@sjsd.net. The necessary record check forms need to be
completed.
EVENING
CONCERT:
Please arrive at John Taylor Collegiate at 6:30pm for warm-ups and to receive the Crestview
Singers T-shirts. Signs and student volunteers will direct you to the warm-up
room. The concert will be about 1 hour in length.
DRESS
CODE:
Please wear black bottoms (skirts, pants,
socks and shoes) and a short-sleeved t-shirt or tank top. The red Crestview Singers T-shirt will be
handed out in the evening and worn over top of the student’s t-shirt.
Please make every effort to be at this
concert. It is our last concert of the
year! Please note, you will need to find your own way to the concert. Please
consider car-pooling if transportation is an issue. We have been working hard
and need all choir members!! If you cannot attend, please send me a note
indicating you will be absent at agoertzen@sjsd.net.
Please
return permission form by Tuesday, April 25.
